David Prieto is a management consultant focused on market-based innovation for sustainability including clean energy, corporate responsibility, environmental markets and sustainable finance. At Dynamic Planet, David is helping develop new blended finance solutions to replicate and scale successful business models with conservation impact.
In 2017, David was selected as a Fulbright-National Science Foundation Arctic Research Fellow and collaborated throughout the Arctic on various research programs focused on climate change. He also co-founded Coral & Ice, a student exchange program between island and polar youth.
Prior to his Fulbright, David was an Associate at AccountAbility in New York where he advised a portfolio of Fortune 500 companies on strategies to advance responsible business practices. His clients have been recognized as leaders in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, mitigated Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) risks with material impact on their bottom line and empowered female business owners in the Middle East. David previously worked for Urban Green Energy, analyzing financial models for commercial scale new energy solutions including microgrids and community solar projects.
David earned a Master of Science from Columbia University, during which he advised the Manta Trust to help establish the first Manta Ray Conservation Act in the Republic of Palau. David received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of London, where he was awarded a scholarship to study one year at the National University of Singapore.
Originally from Spain, during his free time David enjoys working out, exploring new destinations, trying different cuisines and attending concerts alongside his family and friends.
